A word from the boy's
Saviours Of The Ping Public is our debut EP. The songs are born of wiley drunken jams, concentrated coffee fuelled feuds and jumping into bushes because we can.
We knew it would take some time and uncharacteristic patience to find a box which fits; pounding pint-can in hand beats, can't keep in one place bass and tertious fret tearing flamboyance. Oh wait! ...
And 'do-gooder bullshit lyrics' (Kilians words not mine).
So we set to work barging through stale studio farts and hangovers, throwing sounds and stories at the walls. Watching and waiting for the dots to line up. After almost a year of rehashing, remixing, rewriting and reviewing, we finished crafting the EP that we are proudly sharing with you now. We never found the box, but I think that's ok because no one buys CDs anymore.
While making the EP we have developed our ability to write together in an attentive manner, fostering each others ideas and nurturing them into fruition. At which point each band members' head will explode. The songs have matured through live gigs playing to all kinds of people ; Squatters, Pensioners, Protestors, Pub punters, Bored barstaff and MY MUM. This has fed into our work, highlighting to us the importance of music you can go go go to. Along with the excitement we've taken a levelling dose of 'Uh oh's' and 'Oh No's'. Creating music together has been a cathartic way for us to reflect and move forward. We've met people and made friends all (most) with some unique wisdom to offer. So to wrap up... all the above has inspired and driven the need to make 'Saviours'. Which to us is a beautiful encapsulation of the period of time occupied by its creation. To you 'Saviours Of The Ping Public' is a noble bust of forward thrusting Rock music.
Rock ONNN!
